“Remove Formatting” Option in the Editor

by on 2012/10/16

“Remove Formatting” is a very useful function that gives the possibility of removing the formatting of all texts visible in the Editor.

Any text copied from external sources, like e.g. a Word file, is often filled with a lot of useless elements not visible in the editor itself. Such unwanted load can significantly increase the final xml file size which would be a huge disadvantage in case of e.g a localization process. The Remove Formatting option enables to remove all such unnecessary elements and it is good practice to use it after pasting any text to the editor. Only after that can we perform the formatting available in the MICE.
