New Addon Available – Text Coloring

Text Coloring is a new mAuthor Addon that allows marking relevant parts of text with different colors. The user may pick e.g. red to underline all verbs included in the text and blue to mark all nouns.

More information on Text Coloring properties is available in mAuthor documentation. We also encourage you to view a short demo presentation showing the Addon’s main functions.

New Addon – Iframe

Iframe is a new Addon that allows embedding any html content into a lesson. The Addon works both in an online and offline mode so it is possible to link, e.g. an online website or to upload an html file with all its resources.

More information on Iframe is available in mAuthor documentation. We also encourage you to view a short demo presentation showing the Addon’s main functions..

New Properties for Popups

Popups may be now placed in any location on a page, not just its upper side. To set a relevant position, you may use two new properties added to the “Open popup” button: Popup left position and Popup top position.

Text Gap Editor Available in Table

The Table Addon has been enriched with a simple text gap editor for faster and easier text gap creation.

Now in order to embed the editable, draggable or filled gap in Table, simply type your answers in the editor instead of producing long text gap scripts. You may also instantly see the rendered view of any text gap instead of its script by checking the relevant option in the editor.

More information on creating text gaps can be found in mAuthor documentation.

“Rendered View” Option in the Text Gap Editor

The brand-new text gap editor has been enriched with a very helpful feature – Rendered view.

Now you may instantly see the rendered view of any text gap instead of its script by checking the relevant option in the Text editor. Moreover, when clicking on the rendered gap, its editor opens and you may edit the gap’s syntax in a jiffy.

More information on creating text gaps can be found in mAuthor documentation.

“Drag to Add” Feature Finally Available

mAuthor Editor offers now a very useful functionality – it is possible to add new modules to a lesson by dragging them from the “Add module” section and simply dropping them on a page. You may add several modules in one session as the “Add module” space does not close automatically.

Modules’ Default Values

Now when adding a new module in the Editor, it shows a default template with example values presenting its usage in a lesson.

For example, when selecting a new Text module, you will see the examples of all gap filling activities. This functionality will certainly enhance the process of creating content from scratch.
